Water proof endcaps are WAY to big to fit into a fixture. The standard sockets that come with fixtures are fine, they are meant to be in fixtures. Also they are cheaper than the waterproof ones.
Aquactinics does NOT sell retro packages yet, they are slacking big time on that, they have all the components you just need to buy them cafeteria style. Some sites might have IC kits but avoid them, you will not need to overdrive the lamps, it will be costly and the IC ballast might not fit.
I would go with the Universal ballasts, being program start you will get alittle more life out of your lamps.

Zach I would recommend to skip the kits also because all you need is the ballast, sockets and SLRs, you will not need the stand offs, or waterproof endcaps or that. But I suppose it might be a horse apiece.

How do you plan on mounting the SLRs to the fixture?

Cool. So it looks like I can buy 4 SLR reflectors, endcaps, and one workhorse 7 ballast. I will take this thing apart tonight and dissect a little bit to see exactly what I'm working with and then get parts ordered.

    Thanks for your help! k+

Just remember to get the regular sockets!!
Also you will most likely need to get alittle extra wiring but that is cheap and available at all hardware stores.

    Good luck
