Do you think these odyssea are better or the copy version of a coralife halide 2 250 watt two t5.

I bought an odyssea t5 light with 4 bulbs on ebay about 2 months ago. I have not had one problem out of it. I know they use to have problems with their units catching fire a few years ago. I think they have fixed that problem. I have the one with the extendable bracket and it's great, because I can put it on different tanks.

Speculation, I think the fixture is the same with different ballast and bulbs to make the cost cheaper.

I also have the Odyssea T5, four bulb light and have had it for almost 8 months. I got it from topdogsellers on E-bay, I think that is the only place you can get Odyssea products from. I have had no problems at all. Is it the best light out there, no? However, for a reefer on a budget, like myself, the price is definitely right and it works pretty well. In addition, the cost of replacement bulbs from Odyssea is way less than what you would spend at any LFS or online merchant. I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again.
One caveat, their heaters suck, so don't buy an Odyssea heater.

I can only speak to the T5 PC lights but I like them very much. No experience with the MH at all.

I'm going to take a short ride to San Bruno and inspect it myself, defenately can't beat the price. I don't like the brakets, but I'll be suspending fixture anyway. HQI bulb will be replaced with 20k Phoenix and T5's with UVL with int reflectors.
