I make good money doing what I do well. I would make very little money as a tech geek, since I suck at it. I'd rather spend a little more of my money on products that perform well and do so without requiring that I become a computer technician than spend less and waste valuable time smashing unreliable, inconsistent junk.

If some non-Apple manufacturer begins marketing a product that is more reliable, easy to use, and consistently headache free than Apple products (and honestly I expect this may happen in the next few years), I'll consider buying them as well.

When people talk about upgradability, adaptability, modularity, or all that other stuff, all I hear is "waste your valuable time making stuff someone else should have gotten right function."

    I hate all computers.

I bought the imac 27"er after a run of bad PCs. Sweet looking computer, but I've had her in 3 times for random shut-offs at only 9 months. These things have heat issues, which I don't understand, it's thee desktop they sell to the average consumer.... how can it have heat issues. They don't have anyone bright enough to work on that single issue to come up with a solution?

But I do love my iPhone. I'll admit, there are others that perform better, but it's about the community. It's all fine and dandy to have something "better"..... but it's funny how the one non-iPhone person always asks for my phone on breaks.

You do know that almost every APPLE platform out there today uses intel hardware. So there is no real headach free product it comes down to rather you wanna use the MAC OS or windows, there are a few others out there but we wont talk about them. Now what I was saying earlier the MAC OS is developed on a UNIX based platform with GUI that is all. Which you are correct it is stable some what more virus free (only cause its a little more of a pain to program the virus to get around unix admin stuff) but it was still started for IBM servers.

Yes you can run MAC OS on a IBM and you can run windows on a MAC because the hardware is the SAME STUFF!!! unless you start talking cell phones then there is a deff because the iphone uses a old A8 and A9 cortex processor the same one that's in there ipad max 1.2Ghz. The bad thing is you must use apple mobile products how apple wants you to and they arent truly your unit you jail break them and void your warranty. Then with an udate apple locks it on you again "HOW SAD".

Im not bias to either i own products from PC and MAC.

I like the simple fact that I can build a PC for 1/2 the cost of a comparable mac. Plain and simple. PC's are the muscle cars, put a bit of thought into them when building them and they'll rip a mac apart. Mac's are the high end euro sports cars. Fast out of the gate, look stunning, but when they break, it's almost cheaper to just buy a new one.

As for the iPhone, I can't stand it. Maybe it's my larger fingers, but it seems clunky and irritating to use. Maybe it's the fact that I'm a bit old fashioned as well. A phone for me is only to make/take calls and check my voice mail.

Don't get me wrong, they're neat, and incredibly useful to someone who actually uses all the tech on them. But I will never buy one. Nor will I buy any "smartphone" for that matter.

If you look beyond the world of commercials, you'd see how far things are going right now with other products and some of the insane innovations being made. It's a shame that everyone is so caught up in the whole apple thing, but thats what advertising will do.
Even simple things such as hard drives are making a huge change. Updating to an SSD last month totally changed my computing experience. Slow? My computer goes from a cold start to logged on with all my programs running and email client opened in under 30 seconds. The bios screen probably takes the longest of the process. Sorry, but you really can't say that in PC's vs. Mac that PC's are slow. It's all relative.

Funny you mention that installing a ssd made yours boot up in under 30 seconds. The one I built for my gf boots up in 20 seconds on a 500gb hdd. :p

I'm in love with Siri, the number of Apps, the vast community and the superior camera/video.

The others lost when they weren't first to land their phone in the consumers hands.

Exactly how i feel! I'm not a techy at all! All I want is when I turn on my comp, to be able to use it without running 50 updates, and then running a registry error check and clearing out this and that! I'll def agree a PC can be a beast, just seems keeping it one is ALOT more work than I want to do!

I was just happy about my new toy!;)

Saying your going to stay with something because it was first, even though others have made much better products since then? Thats kinda backwards.
