I don't think thats what he's saying at all! I think he's just pointing out that apple won the initial battle by putting out the best new smart phone first!

Certainly Droid has made it a consumer battle! No need to start that battle! But it is nice not having to carry a charger around, or turning my phone off all the time!;)

Why do you think businesses want to be first to put something on the market.... customer loyalty. That's taught in business school. The iPhone gained many loyal customers by simply being first. Now other models sliding up to join the game, have to prove to the loyal iPhone customer that their product is WAY above the one they currently have, to justify them being disloyal.

Loyalty is HUGE in the business world and it is one of the main reasons why other phones don't have the following right now. People fell in love with the iPhone when the others were just a gleam in their daddy's eye.

I really like how my Mac handles pictures. I'd be afraid I'd sit on their laptop!

I just cant do apple. I like being able to choose what I want on my phone, not having apple tell me what they approve of for me. The iphone it self is a great phone i Just don't like apples closed business model where everything has to come threw them and have there approval. And yes Im a PC guy, but I agree with the mac users windows sucks! Microsoft continues to use a registry based OS that is flawed. OS and Linux have figure out how do do it right but the software and game support just isn't there for them.

pc sells nothing that compares with the portability and features of a macbook air. I just got one too! I have spent thousands on pc laptops that performed like crap out of the box, weigh twice as much and still need a huge power block and then constantly crap out. I actually like PC better on towers. But for laptops, this Macbook air is hands down superior if you actually have to travel with it.

All I need out of my laptop though is internet which I still use google chrome and typing, still using microsoft office. So I lost nothing important to my laptop experience and gained massive portability.

I have a netbook that I can easily plug into my reefcontroler and radions the weighs 1.3 pounds. I can also play flash games. Mac can not do that.

yes you can. Flash only isn't on iphone and ipad, Macbook pro and air can download it no problem. ANd the netbook is no competition. Macbook air blows it out of the water. Well in every aspect but price.. and on that note they aren't even competitors. But in size, features, and portability. It is amazing. And I still have a 13 inch screen and easy to use trackpad.

Apex is web based, no issue there. You can run the radion program on a mac using parallels as well.. I'm sure you can do the same with reefcontroller.

Congrats on the new laptop. I myself have 2 mac books and a Dell. Like the macs for the ease of use.

Im more into my phone than the computers, ever since i got it i hardly need to use the computer. I have a samsung infuse 4g running a custom rom and kernel. (CM7)

Have any of you heard of ultrabooks? Netbooks are 4 year old technology.
