My lps don't have any chaeto macro algae but has a ton of these red oga algae. Will they work just as good as chaeto? To help control ammonia, nitrate, nitrite....?

Never hears of this type of macro algae. I'm sure someone will chime in with more info on it. Where do you live? Any fellow reefers in your area you could get some from...Ebay is sure to have it.

Macro's will help take care of phosphates and nitrates. But if you have ammonia and nitrites, either your tank is cycling or something is horribly wrong that macro's aren't going to take care of.
