Just looked at a house today. The wife loves it. A new build thread might be coming...

Yeah, but here's the good parts:

    - She really wants to move and I am "ambivalent"

    - The house has great potential, but requires significant renovation to meet that potential

    - We would do some serious work, including knocking down serious internal walls, etc.

    So all that means:

    Another epic build thread!

    Some more key points:

    - It has a wonderful storage space on the first floor that just needs a sink and a drain to be a top notch fish room. It also happens to be directly under a perfect aquarium location.

    - That area is going to be blown wide open space-wise and, while I still need to do some preliminary layouts, there might be the opportunity for a four-sided view tank with a central overflow.

    - We would need to redo every floor in the house which means I could plumb directly up through the floor to a free-standing spot without screwing anything up.

    So...

While I'm not looking forward to breaking down the system that took me 4 months to build, I would also look forward to designing in an aquarium as a part of the home rather than an afterthought. I can get much of a new system built as part of the renovation. I will also have a fair amount of overlap time where I could have a new system set up and I could bring in water and extra rock from my existing system to give it a kick start before move day where I move over most the rock, corals, fish, equipment, etc.

well, I'm not sure rocketman. It sounds like you really need to give the tank planning some thought as far as the new house goes lol
