The whole family was up early today so we had plenty of time to make dad’s delicious pancakes ! I made three batters: Almond, vanilla and regular – made them up to order, strawberries, chocolate chips, banana, blueberries or boring old regular. I ate too much…seriously too much, I feel like a tang that ate an entire sheet of seaweed and then went for the broccoli head….ugh, what was I thinking. I feel like its thanksgiving and its time to sit down and watch the game – but the kids want to go sleigh riding now….ugh – say a prayer for a fellow reefer…..

talk to me in ten hours. the super bowl is a big deal at my house, not so much about the football as it is about eating as much junk food as humanly possible. though seriously, overeating on pancakes/waffles is rough. it just sits like a rock in your belly. i feel for you man

haha! way to take one for the team! I use the phrase "Fat dumb 'n happy" to describe me after a big pancake binge....ours was last weekend when my daughter decided to get creative in the kitchen.

As far as I am concerned - you get the MVP Award for making then eating a "MASSIVE VARIETY of PANCAKES" !!!

Good luck with the rest of the day now - with any luck you will survive and perhaps get a contract doing Zantac commercials or perhaps Tiger Balm for all those post-sledding aches and pains. Then you're going to Disney World!

You sound like a great dad - look at it this way - you are a total hero in your kid's eyes today. Way to go!

Ok – an hour of sleigh riding and the ironball of pancake has migrated up and became a headache…but I did it ! It’s all about kids, fish and dogs in this house !

You raise a good point my friend. My fridge is packed with all the best junk food the body doesn’t need just waiting for the company and game. I am one of those over the top football fans – but I am a 49er fan and I couldn’t care less about these two teams. I build a sports bar and on the first floor of my home – my wife is a good sport J

I suppose today I will be a Saints fan – might as well stick with my conference and the whole underdog aspect. Enjoy the party ! ....I am off to find some tylenol.

Friends are now over – drinking and playing pool/darts waiting for the game….but I did go back out and sleigh ride again with the children, we build forts and had a huge snowball fight. Afterwards we brought out the dogs and played rough for a while….my back is killing me. Here is tigger again:

What mix is he? I need a good dog for my Moms other mutt (companion/security). Tried those rescue kennels you know? They want like 200-600 bucks per dog!!
I'd just assume grabbing a stray off the street or just buy a fullbreed. It would be way cheaper. Its become too much of business.

p.s. take Motrin (ibuprophen), never acetaminophen (tylenol) with alcohol or day after (liver damage)

Ok - I can't help myself....here is one more of tigger (I love my pup) - and the boy, we built a ramp and this is just before impact....the ramp was a little big (notice you can't even see the ramp in the picture). I love the face the boy is makinng....remember being a kid and doing these things? if I went down the hill like that I probably wouldn;t walk again !

Tigger is 75% yellow lab and 25% golden retreiver. Lucy, her mom and my other pup, is a 50/50 lab/retreiver. she is such a good dog we breed her -- there are 8 pup's in all and scattered throughout my family.
