LOL it's funny cuz it's someone else but really I feel for ya. I have a bait shop and things fail from time to time. It's gotten so I can recognize the stench of death before I even put the key in the lock. Can't imagine what it was like poppin the lid off the bucket.

first off why would you buy live rock and kill it. that a pretty bad idea. you could have made up some fresh mixed high salinity saltwater about 1.35. put it in there for a little bit if there are any undiserables in it it will chase/burn it right out of the rock. 2nd thing you could do make a small water change in you main tank. then use that water with some salifert flatworm extract or reef dip to kill any baddies off. just like you should for corals. treat you live rock like coral.

this is not directed at anyone. but im sorry i dont know wheater to laugh or cry when i hear what some people do with live rock. for god's sake if your going to buy live rock dont be stupid and kill it. just take a minute and think or just buy dry dead rock,

my tank had terrible and i mean terrible as in i cant see through the glass after a week. the rocks were covered in algea to the point that the coriline was dieing. im down grading so I do thing right this time and for other reasons and i dont want a single cell of algea that was in the old tank to be in the new one. I cant put it in a bucket with saltwater because in still putting together the tank and selling the old so it'll be out for about 6weeks.
