How big a tank? If you have a sump put an ice bag in there. That could help.

I have fans by Aquatek of California on my tank and some soda bottles filled with water in the freezer. Like LCP said, if you have a sump they would go in there. If not, you can just float them in the tank.

yep any clip on fan will work blowing across the top of your tank and the ice in the 20 oz soda bottles. either will work fine. yesterday here was 88 today was 85...so much for spring..........

yeh I have the same problem as I live on the east coast also. My tank has hit 82. I have been floating bags of ice in the sump which does help allot.
your stock should be alright but I wouldn't let it get past 83 try some ice in a bag like the others have mentioned.

Thanks everyone. Tank is only 26gals. Its a nano so no sump. I can put some ice in the pump chamber.. I worry about my tank more than I do my own kids.

I have my tank in the basement, I live in Southeastern Pa, and one of the main reasons I put it down there is because of the temperature. My basement stays pretty cool, even during the summer, at most mid 70s. I think the advice you have received is good. Also keep an eye out for sign of oxygen depletion. Warmer water carries less oxygen in it then cooler water.

Same here, Brooklyn, NY. I saw my tank hit 85 today. I put a box fan on the sump. Came down to 83. :(

I put in my first coral today, and the guy told me to keep the water @ 82. :( I'm not home tomorrow and tuesday. Can't leave the fan on. I'm worried.

Yup.. My temp has skyrocketed on my 135.. Fans no longer cutting it. Going for a 1/5 Chiller myself.. Research under way but can't afford to wait very long. Spent most of tonight looking for deals. Man this is going to put a dent in my pocket. Good thing I pulled a 24 hour shift the other night(Not happy at the time I was doing it). I roofing company screwed up and did not properly seal around some piping which let water in and down in a data center which fried a couple systems. Wait till they get the 100,000.00 dollar bill.
