So, did BP acknowledged that or is still to be confirmed by their 3million dollars a minute lawyers?

This same situation happened around 30 years ago, all methods at stoping it failed for many months

I like her show a lot. And that segment was very much an eye opener. I just can't believe this will keep going on and on for months until they can build more rigs to get more oil and enrich themselves even more.... but hey! they're helping the environment by relieving pressure so they can cap that off! ::)

This issue has really gotten to me and hard. Really hard. I feel hopeless and I'm terribly irate.

I don't know what else you could do to stop the flow beyond what they've done (given that they've done it with 110% effort), and the relief well.

The US has also pushed against the transition to a green economy thanks to the oil companies and the cozy relationship they've had. Either the oil companies get a kick in the pants courtesy of the people, or the change won't happen, they won't do things in a safer fashion, they won't improve their capping technology, and they'll continue to screw over people all over the world in search of profits until they mess up badly enough to kill off many, many people by releasing too much methane from deposits on the deep ocean floor.

If you stop granting permits, you give the oil companies an ultimatum: evolve or go extinct. If you continue to grant permits, you give them free reign to operate in exactly the same fashion they always have.

Well you know in Canada BP(seriously right now) is actually trying to lobby against the law, that mandates drilling of relief wells along side the regular ones. The relief wells are a preventative measure so the wells could be capped should one blow out like in the gulf.

Top kill has failed. BP is moving on to a cone to suck up as much oil as possible.
