ok first fuge and protien skimmer question

I personally would put it after the fuge everytime. but if i did a sump with a fuge i would have my return in the center, skimmer area on the left, and fuge on the right. The overflow line would be split into two lines with gate/ball valve on the fuge side only so i could slow flow to that area. while the side with the skimmer is getting the rest.

 

I have seen some setups like that where there is a refugium and sump. My overflow tank has two lines coming from it already. It might be better for me to do a sump and fuge.
