If the stand is wood, which every single one I built is, they will not most of the time be perfectly even. It took me 6 months to build both of mine, and during that time wood dried/warped/changed shape to my un-even concrete in the garage. Stand was built perfectly, incase anyone is going to question the manufacture process. :) The great thing about wood, it will change shape a little under weight. I would fill it 25%, leave it for a few days, fill another 25% and wait another day or two and my guess is gap will be almost gone.

What keeps me up at night is my bottom breaking. With all the weight of the water, plus sand, around 90lbs of rock. Amazed it can hold at all

So Im still waiting on my LFS to get back to me on if they think/will replace the stand for a new one... But in the mean time I took nvladik's idea to fill up the tank little by little... When I realized my tank wasn't level last week, I immediately drained it, but I didn't remember if I caught the gap that night or the next AM because by the time the water reached the overflows it was already 11pm, and the only thing I was focused on was getting the tank drained and going to sleep. So over the past two days I've filled it up by the 25%. When the tank was empty, I would say the total length of the gap was around 13", but it slightly decreased as I added more water... So right now I'm about 90% the way full and the gap has decreased significantly(around 5" long), but the corner still isn't being supported....

So my question is, is this the stand that is being leveled out more(warping), or is it actually the tank being stressed and bent?

I am no expert, but the wood would give more and faster than the plastic and glass. I would say the weight of the tank is (for lack of a better word) sinking into the wooden stand.

Glass, the 20-24" front section of it that is, would not bend, it would snap. It's the stand leveling.

One thing I forgot to mention before, make sure the floor is level also.
