Need to stay out of my LFS...once again I say this is last addition to tank (except for a really exceptional clam) :p - I see something else that really catches my attention, as this guy did.

    (not my pic/tank)

Has been pretty reclusive since introduction...only catch glimpses of it periodically hiding in crevices ... will post my own pic when/if I can.

I love these shrimp. Absolutely gorgeous. It may remain reclusive as that is the nature of that particular "beast". They can be more out and about in groups of 5 or more but that can get expensive.

One guy that frequents my LFS kept buying 2 and they'd kill eachother!
Literally you could watch them destroy eachother from what he said.

And Jim my LFS guy said 2 will always k eachother off :/
How many do you have ?

Weird. But more than 2 and the aggression is more spread out or what? Or has he tried that yet? I don't have any now but I had 5+ at one time before I learned that dottybacks eat shrimp :(

Glad I read this posting. This shrimp is stunning and was to be my first purchase once my tank is fully cycled (if I can figure out when that's supposed to be). At the LFS, they seem to co-habitate with each other quite well, as amcarrig mentioned, I certain there was 5 or more in each tank that I observed them in. There about $22 here (Sacramento, CA) and I was going buy a couple, but not now. Just one.
