Ok so I will try to keep it short

Can you get to a WalMart? $0.25 a gallon for Culligan Water, ran through sediment filters, carbon filters, reverse osmosis, and UV light. It'd cost you $18.75 for all the water you'd need (plus trips back and forth, unless you have 15 5gallon jugs laying around..).

 

I appreciate all the responses, input and advice I have been provided. Such a great forum, Thank you all!! Well right now I am trying to decide on my sand situation. The guy I purchased the tank from gave me his sand which is suppose to be live sand. However this sand settle very quickly! Which is confusing me because the live sand in the 55 gallon if I were to stir it, even a little I have a storm for a while until it settles. I remember I purchased the fiji (or something else) pink live sand the cost me $30 bucks per 20lb bag.

Should I remove what I consider it to be the fake sand and just you what I know is live sand. Or just put the live sand right on top of the fake sand (this option worries me I feel like I would be creating a potential issue in the future) or just mix it all in.

Also if anyone has a manual or familiar with Odyssea mh lights please chime in. These lights are two seperate housing each with 175w mh (probably just a 150w overdriven) and two PCs. They connect to 3 different ballasts with 1 yellow, 2 green, 2 red, and 2 black cables total. I have connected them using common sense but have trouble getting one of the mh to light. I purchased 2A 250V fuses and replaced the fuses and replaced the bulb with a "new" one that was part of the package but some of the porcelain was broken on the tips. Geez I think I provide too many details.
