    Ethanol plants have been looking into using algae as an ethanol source for a few years. You get more ethanol out of algae than corn, and you don't get the loony bin folks commenting on using a human and animal food source to make fuel. Using algae to make ethanol is not only smart, it is genius. Now the only issue is that it costs more to make ethanol out of algae for the moment than out of corn.

    I used to work for a firm that provided air cleansing machinery (RTO's) to ethanol plants, as well as big companies like Boeing, 3M, GM, and and many other huge companies. I learned quite a bit about ethanol during my 2 years there.
