ok... this day is just plain weird.

ok so, my gobie is making piles and piles of sand close by the rocks..

i thought this is normal.. but then...

he grabed a SNAIL.. with his mouth.. took it across the tank, and spitted it into his brand new whole... WHAT?

he did this twice.. once from the ground and the other from the glass it self?

what can i make of this? normal?

sounds like he is decorating his den; it doesn't realize that its gonna get up and uh slither? away

 

get a few more snails and give that poor guy a break
for pete's sake

 

ugh im getting stressed.. im seeing a little of agression on my tank too( i took one orange spotted out of the 29 cuz the trigger bit him.. and now my other orange spotted in my 150 is being a meany to my dragon gobie..)
can some one explain what i did wrong here.. im a little just to not say totally confused.... :-/

My orange spot goby just started doing this as well. He is really irritating me, as he keeps picking up shells and throwing them on top of my Maxima clam, nearby his den on a rock. He literally covered my clam in 5 minutes. The clam successfully clears the debris from itself with no problems, but it's irritating, as he picks right back up and starts covering the clam again.

Sorry, I know this does nothing to help you, but just wanted to say I'm confused as well.

Lol don't know what to tell you except to sit back and watch the show my bsjawfish sometimes ttys to use snails as building blocks and other times picks them up and spits them out lol funny to watch
