I had this old 55g tank for close to 10 years trying out fresh water fish. It's been sitting in my basement for two years with nothing in it so this January I decided to take up a new hobby! yup saltwater! Here are the most recent pics the tank has been running for 1 month and 2 weeks now. ( i think lol)

Thats a very nice looking set up Los1980

what light unit is that you have above it, it looks very sleek and also like it puts out a lot of light based on the image

they certainly look very good over that tank

I read through the thread, I remember that one, just did not recognise the fixture

a review of this would be interesting, so if you have time, a seperate thread in the reviews or even the lighting section would be useful

    a review thread
just means you post some pictures and explain what the product is
and your feelings about it - dont worry about the technical side as such for now

    things to cover would be
    Images of the unit
    description of what you get
    heat?
quality of light - aesthetics rather than measured output
how the unit fixes - legs or as you have hanging kit

just an overall view of the unit, and how your feel about it, is fine for a review
any specification information you can get from the literature supplied or packaging is a bonus

Hey Steve here's a quick review of the marineland reef capable LED system I picked up roughly 3 months ago.

Marineland LED review pictures by papilos80 - Photobucket

If the video is crappy (like it was for me) let me know if you guys have trouble viewing and i'll upload it to youtube or something.
