I recently bought a used TEKlight from "thecaptivereef.com" who said the bulbs were only 3 months old. After about a week after setting up the lights the tank started to show hair algae so i cut the lights down from 4 bulbs to 2 bulbs and decreased the light cycle, the hair algae just got worse and worse. The tank is inline with about 700 gallons and there is no sign of hair algae in any of the other tanks.
seems like the bulbs are bad right?
so i cantacted mike at the captive reef who went on a tirade and will not rectify the problem.
    Any ideas anyone?
