Just wondering if the Old live rock from my 75 gallon tank can be used again
I'm thinking if I boil it, scrub it clean and soak it in saltwater can I use it for base rock. This rock has not been in water for about 4 years.
Let me know what you think?

I think you could just use it as is. This is a new set up and if there is any death on it, it would just help kick start your cycle, provided it was stored in a safe place without any chemicals or anything like that getting on it, if your not 100% sure nothing bad has got on it, it would be safer to just toss it and start over.

As long as it hasn't been used in a tank that was dosed with copper, you're fine. Boiling it will clean it out if it was in a really dirty tank. However, if it was from a clean tank that didn't have copper, just put it in as is.
