I AM FAIRLY NEW TO THE AQUARIA HOBBY. I HAVE ALWAYS HEARD ABOUT THE FEARED HITH. I HAVE TRIED TO KEEP WATER QUALITY IN GOOD CONDITION. I HAVE STARTED DOING 25-30% WATER CHANGES ONCE A WEEK, I'VE STOPPED OVERFEEDING (I DIDN'T REALIZE I WAS OVERFEEDING), I FEED THE FISH ANTI-PARASITIC FOOD AS A MAINTENANCE, BUT I GUESS IT WAS IN VEIN.... WHAT IS THE BEST MED TO USE? MY OSCAR HAS STRINGY WHITE POO AND A FEW PITS THAT I CAN SEE. I WAS READING ABOUT THE MEDICATION, CLOUT AND I USED THE JUNGLE LABS ANTI-PARASITE TABLETS LAST NIGHT BUT SINCE I HAVE NEVER DONE THIS BEFORE I DONT KNOW HOW LONG TO TREAT AND IF I SHOULD REMOVE THE FISH THAT HAS IT OR JUST GO AHEAD AND TREAT THE ENTIRE TANK? PLEASE HELP I CANT BARE TO WATCH MY FISH SUFFER. I BELIEVE I HAVE CAUGHT THIS IN THE EARLY STAGES BUT REALLY I HAVE NO CLUE.....:cry::cry::cry::cry::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:

No i know that's like their little nose holes...but @ first i saw a big gash in her head from where she had hit a rock so i treated the tank with melafix and the gash was fine, but like a week later i saw a pit on the lateral line and a couple very tiny pits on her head and then the stringy clear poo this morning....i mean could it be something else? What do you mean by other problems?? Im really scared i have put alot of moo-lah in this tank and ilove my fishies!

    Here it is again...
    Maybe something went goofy ?!?!

Oscar Fish Disease - Hole in the Head Disease | treatments medications cure

Pacu's and green terror's are extremely aggressive there may be serious problems for the Oscar's...
From what I understand they are all better suited to a species only tank...

As a suggestion - What if you put your Oscar in the other tank you have and treat the whole tank? that way treating it as a quarantine situation?
    Good luck!

since it's a parasite infection i think it might be too late to just treat the one that is showing symptoms dont ya think? i have no clue but i would rather be safe than sorry.

treat them all, even if the other fish arnt showing symptoms now, doesnt mean they arn't infected. The medication shouldn't hurt the healthy fish eather.
