    so i started my cycle last night with some shrimp... & it has really started to make a stinch... so i took it out... heard its ok to take out when starting to get rotten..so hope it was ok? but now the tank water still stinks.. what to do with stinky water?

    Just let it roll, you'll be fine in a few days as the ammonia starts to be processed out. Congrats on the start!

    ok...i have a skilter 400& it says it has a biomatrix filter with carbon on 1 of the filters... how would i filter with more carbon?
