Ok so here is the deal, I was saving up for a florida vacation for a good couple months and didn't spend anything on my tank except for salt for water changes. I then saved up enough for a few items online. In the time I was waiting for my gold torch coral to come in which was another month due to wanting a specific size I saved up even more.

    I had on my list
Ultra grade cook islands maxima clam
    red jewel goniopora
    Blue Carpet Anemone
    metallic orange ricordea
5 polyps of gold aussie torch coral
5 polyps of rainbow aussie acan
1 royal sea urchin orange and white
1 long tentacle pink plate coral
    1 free mandarin goby
    1 free cleaner shrimp

after finally getting everything in they were ready to ship and they had a problem with the blue carpet nem in the holding tanks. Because of waiting so long for the gold torch it died because it was under fluorescent lights. So for the inconvenience they threw in 5 rainbow aussie acans and an elegance coral.

Now after researching more on carpet nems I did not want one. I chose to get a rose anemone and black and white clown instead, so I had to wait for it to come in as well. After getting everything together they looked at my address and said we can not ship out their because I am in the boonies and the fed ex truck only comes by once a day. So now I am getting even more angry because well its been about 2 months and nothing has been done with the tank. So to relieve some of the stress I reaquascaped the right side of my tank. We are now trying to figure a way to get the items out to me now seeing as they are based a good 8 hours away and the corals are over seas and whatnot. Basically we tried seeing if we could ship it to the airport so I could pick it up, it wouldnt work so we decided that he would deliver it to my house personally. Well he said it about a week ago that he would deliver it. Well now all of the corals etc are in his holding tanks with good lighting so I have nothing to worry about on that end but he said he would shoot for this weekend and it has gone and passed with no result, now he said he is shooting for this weekend. I would normally cut my losses but I am getting a gold torch coral that is worth 150 a polyp at a lfs for 150 for 5 heads. 5 free rainbow aussie acans, and a free elegance coral.

I have been very patient but it is wearing thin, I have waited 2 months for something to arrive but it hasnt. I am getting offered lots of free corals and corals at a really good price. Should I give him until this weekend and cut my losses if nothing is delivered or be at his mercy seeing as I am getting 5 free rainbow aussie acans, 4 heads of gold torch coral, elegance coral and a bnw clown for $40 and wait as long as possible? If I cut my losses I figured I would only be able to get maybe the rose anemone, clam, 1 head of gold torch coral, one orange ricordea, one red jewel goniopora, and maybe one clownfish and maybe one more thing.

What do you think I should do? My patients can last only so long.

how old is your tank and what are your nitrates and phosphates like? also whats the size? you do have some finicky animals on that list.

personally I would tell you to add stuff slowly although I realize its a good deal.

Agreeing with Sostoudt, thats alot to add at once(and nice selection btw),but if your tank is in check you may be ok.Can you arrange to pickup at a local terminal since your in the boonies?I did not vote yet to see what you can work out with the shipper.

When you say cut your loses, I hope you don't mean that you lose that money. Personally, I'd just get a refund and take my business elsewhere. You've waited long enough and they should have looked at your address before ordering anything and not put your corals in an environment they couldn't live in. I wouldn't want anything from them because you may just be bringing in pests or parasites since this guy seems to be cutting corners and not taking care of what should be.

Is this place a store? It just seems odd that they would order this stuff for you without looking up your address first. Would it really be worth their money to deliver it to you 16 hours both ways? Just seems sort of fishy, no pun intended.

My tank is about 2.5 years old maybe 3 and very stable only thing I have a problem with is vermatid snails which aren't really a problem. The only thing I am really worried about is the nem and sea urchin during shipping the others should be ok in shipping. Most of my stuff is coral so it should not be to much of a.shock to the bioload oh and the elegance coral I am a little worried about to because I know they are very difficult as well. the fish should he pretty hardy !d the acans I will be selling.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
I vote cut your loses. You have shown enough patience IMO. Look for a different vendor I am sure there are plenty that would be willing to work with you regarding specific delivery times and destination arrangements.
