It seems like there is always something going on in my tank or I'm finding something odd (to me anyway) in my tank and want others to see....so why should today be any different right?

This is what I woke up to this morning. It's my Maxi Mini that was attacked by the Half Black Angel.:devil1:.

When I turned on the lights this morning, I couldn't help but ask..."OMG...What are ya doing now?

It looks shrivelled from night time. Let it open up.

Just a suggestion, but you are going to start losing peoples interests and confusing them with so many threads on your anemones.

Point well taken....but a several of my posts were not questions, they were done just in case someone wanted to see it.

I wasn't talking about him being shriveled tho. It looks like his mouth is splitting. I think he is cloning himself. Hope that is what he is doing.

Double click on the picture and you will see what I'm talking about. If you click it after the big picture comes up, you will get a much bigger image.

Be home in a few hours to check on him. Hope he's not dying. I'm not finding any reading or pics on the Maxi splitting...so I guess we'll see.

Probably because most people split these themselves rather than waiting for nature to do its thing. Maxi-mini's are known to take quite the abuse from owners that split them for profit. Their recovery is remarkable according to what I have read so far.

    No worries CODEE111,

Over time you will see that anemones take on many different shapes and sizes, usually it's nothing.

    Typically and anemone in trouble:

Has a gaping oral opening and may or may not have mesenterial filaments showing.

    Is detached, no longer footed.

Or has expelled all it's zooxanthellae (sp).
