So, my water has clear up by now, but I still have particles of something circulating. I would guess that it is the very fine bits of sand or maybe just a silt kind of stuff that needs to settle? I am using CaribSea's Agaronite sugar sand. The water itself looks clear, so just waiting it out, I guess.

I am currently running a Rena Xp2, and a Bio-Skim 600. I know nothing about the Bio-Skim. It was included in the purchase of my used tank. It is moving water and the skimmer is bubbling, so I would suppose that it is functioning properly.

My lights were just delivered, and I have 44 lbs of Fiji Live rock to arrive on Thursday. After that, I will getting maybe 25-30 more lbs of Tonga branch from a friend with too much.

Anyway, I just wanted to share my progress. It's gonna be fun! Lets see if I did the photo upload correctly!

Sweet! No need to run the skimmer yet though.

The skimmer is built into the Bio-Skim 600. I don't know that there is a way to shut it off?

Not sure without pics. It won't hurt you much to leave it on though.

That said, congrats! New tanks are exciting!
