One MP40 or Two MP10's ?

My 90 gallon reef tank upgrade is about 3 months old, originally I went Koralias to keep the cost down, two 1050gph on each end and one 750gph on the back wall.

But its just not doing it for me so I am going to upgrade and I am trying to decide if I should go with one MP40 or two MP10's.

Any thoughts ?

 

MP10s can only go on tanks with glass that is 3/8" or less. What's your 90g?

I would recommend 2 MP40s on a 90g. Not just 1. And definitely not MP10s. MP10s wouldn't do much in a tank that big. (I run 2 MP10s on my 40g breeder, which is 36"x18", and they do a good job).

 

Personally I would go with a single MP40 wireless EcoSmart, & a Battery Backup

 

What do you plan to keep?

 

Not sure, its a Marineland 90 gallon Reef Ready with Corner Overflow


And I just plan on keeping LPS and Softies

 

If money is a factor, I would get 1 MP40w ES for now, and add another down the road when you can afford it.

 

At the moment I could afford 1 MP40 or maybe 2 MP10's.

 

I would go with a single MP40 and the Koralias for supplement until you can get another Vortech.
