one of my baffles gave way in my sump

    the baffles are acrylic and the sump is glass i used aquarium silicon to adhere it, i know that silicon does not bond with acrylic but makes a wedge, is there any way to fix this without shutting down the sump or is that the only way....all other baffles seem to be holding up fine

    Did you sand the acrylic? Usually it holds good enough for baffles if you rough the surface up pretty good. Unfortunately I am not sure how to fix it well without taking it offline for two days...

    Your tank should hold for a few days without a sump unless your sump volume is much larger than tank volume. I have taken my sump out for almost a week, I just added an airstone and another powerhead pointed at the surface for agitation.

    Yep, you're going to have to take it apart for a couple days. There's really no other way.
