You know, most of the metal bands that I know are really happy go lucky guys and use music to get out their aggression. Everyone has a little something built up and this is a great way to let go. It keeps me sane anyway. And by the way, he is a talented drummer and somehow needs to get fixed:confused:

yeah I know. He works at Chipotle's and their insurance sucks, but he's doing his book today for Kitchen Manager YAY hopefully when he gets into management they will have better insurance. Thanks Daniel! I'm a very proud Momma! Way back when his brother was 10, I bought a cheap little drum set, cause he'd walk around tapping on stuff all the time. Well Doug(this one) wanted to play guitar, so I made him use mine until he learned a song. He was almost 9. His first song, all the way through was Metallica "One". That christmas I got him a fender strat pack. He still has it and plays all the time. His brother stopped playing one day, cause we snuck to the door and watched him. So, Doug picked up the sticks and went to playing. Crazy! He bought a pearl set and started customizing it to his liking. So many people have asked to buy his drums. He's got them tuned perfectly. He still plays until it hurts too bad. Eats motrin like crazy, so hopefully he never starts drinking. It'll kill your liver quick! We think his rotator cuffs are torn, but not sure, his whole body hurts and he's way skinny. Can't find a dr to figure out what is wrong. Do we have a dr in the house?? LOL Karma to all you metal peeps!!!!!!!!

Its a good idea to learn more music like jazz, especially for a drummer. Most bands that I have been around like jazz, funk, metal. I think the best musicians have a wide range of talent in instuments and types of music. To many young local bands out there that never left home before. They all sound the same. But you cant force someone to play music they dont care for, they have to grow into it themselves. If he did play jazz then he might not be in so much pain.

Yep Bob! He can play anything he just prefers metal. :) He thought about the pain aspect of it and he does jam with them, but doesn't want to do it in a band. I'd like to see them do something like some nice southern rock...help bring it back...those were the days....skynyrd, molly hatchet, allman bros, :thinking2marshal tucker or 38 special......

Its just a site that got a lot of southern bands in the friends list. Its not a music site, but you can click on the bands in friends and search them. I think the most famous name is Hank 3, grandson of Hank Sr. and you can tell by his pix that he is. Lots of good bands in this site that frequent here. It could be called more of a directory.
