My tank's been running for a week now. Just tested the water, and everything looks perfect. I've topped the tank off a couple of times, with distilled water, when it was low, and the only thing that looks out of line is the specific gravity. It was 1.025 last week, and it read 1. 028 today.

I have ordered a refractometer, and it should be in this week. Should I remove some water and top off with 'fresh'? Or should I leave it alone and let the cycling continue?

I don't really expect a long cycle time, because I started with established water, live rock, and live sand from a great LFS. Any suggestions?

    Thanks!

Id wait till you got the refractometer, you could be dead on or low or high, who knows! The swing arms are VERY inaccurate!!! I would never trust one. I suggest leaving be until you got the meter and then go from there!!! Hope this helps!
