A little more plumbing porn, added a snail grate, and heres a closeup of my skimmer and drain, I actually love this skimmer so far, it works!!
Spent half the night setting up my Reefkeeper Elite w/ net, no photos till the wiring is finished but should be done programming tonight. Headed to LFS for some GFO and more algae eating friends, seems i have a bit of phosphate but nothing that cant be controlled lickety split. I hope.
Well now im caught up to the present, tank has been up for under 2 months and has come to a point that i can be happy with and start adding livestock, its been a huge learning process but nothing but fun, even when things didnt work correctly. thanks..

thanks!! Yes the lights will be going next, as far as stocking im still researching and going slow.

RKE up and running now except for .net module. This thing is pretty damn cool, except for the part about myreef only running in a windows environment, you can see by the picture that it runs quite well on a mac running parallels, I felt like I was knowingly poisoning my macbook by installing xp on it , sorry friend.

 

Added first fish, a starry blenny, he was too cool at LFS to pass up, much better than just the snails and crabs ive been starring at for weeks.
Also made an acrylic stand for my bubble magus, I love being able to dig thru scrap acrylic at Santa Monica Plastics, they are really great.
