    Hello everyone.
I am currently having a problem with the setup of my tank. I only have two power outlets where my tank is planted. I am currently running an extender that connects to both outlets, extending it too six total, however, I have added a second extender to add an extra two (the second one really has three, but netwise, it is two, since it is taking one slot from the first extender)

The second extender provides power to my lights, which require three outlets.
The main extender provides power to my sump, return pump, and two powerheads. I only have one slot left. I also know this setup is not safe. how do you guys deal with all your appliances? I want to run more in the future, but I do not want to endanger my house.

i plug a six outlet surge proctector into 1 outlet (it covers the other one) then i plug in the heavy apliances directly into it. for minor things i use an extension cord from the surge protector.

Make sure you are on a GFCI protected circuit too. If not get a portable GFCI and use it, it could save your life.

I have everything from the 2-plug outlet connected to a power strip on one plug (just the lights), and a battery backup on the other.
