Is this considered an onyx or simply a true percula?

That's definitely an onyx. True Percula's look like you "original" clown. Nice find.

Want to expand this thread a little bit....

I always thought that clownfish lived on average about 5 years, being related to damselfish... however i recently read 10 years is fairly common.

Anyone know for sure, please include a renown site or something as well, because any of you could spit out a number (no offense), although i am fine with speculation as well. My clowns are going on 5 years, want them to live a long time since they are the cornerstone of my tank.

a saltwater fish in a optimum environment should survive for 15- 20 years,
crabs can live for around 10
    shrimp a couple years only

thanks, reefman, that was the one site i was looking at that made me ask that question, but i was curious as to its authenticity. Looks like it was correct.

    Thanks everyone!
