So I accidentally dropped a 2" diameter green mushroom in a rock hole. The hole is pretty deep and I'm sure the mushroom is not going to get any light... could its dying hurt the parameters in my tank? Curious to know, because the rock is pretty much buried under several main pieces with lots of frags on them. Is it ok to just leave it?

You would be surprised at how resilient mushrooms can be. Don't be surprised if in a few months it pops up out of nowhere in your tank.;)
It will not cause any problems for your parameters.

+1 I watched a polyp (baby mushroom) on the side of my rock suddenly drop off one day (it was there that morning, gone the afternoon) and didn't see anything for months. (presumed it was toast) Then out of nowhere I see this nice size red shroom head through the reflection of the back of my tank. They have been around for millennia, and unless your tank's pretty trashy, they will be around for a lot more.

I have a blue mushroom that moved into a cave like area in my rocks and is doing well with very little light. It will find a spot it likes and do quite well.

I had a tiny dime size mushroom come off a rock, I thought I would find it in a filter sock. Days later I spotted it inside my GSP.

can you get a turkey baster tip near it? if so when you put the baster in the water blow the air out than point it as close to the mushroom as you can get and let the baster pull the water in, with it it will pull the mushroom to it.
you can also do this with a small hose that you have syphoning into a bucket. than just put the water you syphoned back into the tank after you get the mushroom
