Did you introduce all the tangs at once or one at a time? You have a Scopas Tang, Yellow Tang, Blue Tang, and a Convict Tang. Am I correct? How long have you had them?

Reefman, I don't see a Scopas or Convict tang.

Blue, Sailfin, and Yellow tangs from left to right. Did I miss something?

it's a yellow, scopas, pacific blue, and an io sailfin, no they were not introduced at the same time the yellow was first then the sailfin then the blue then the scopas. the scopas was given to me as was the blue because they were both very mean, the scopas was about the size of a half dollar when he went in and the other tangs went after him and took off all of his fins, both dorsal and anal fins were completly gone, i just knew he was done for, but nature makes a way, he survived and now is about 3 to 4 inches nose to tail and he lost his attitude. the yellow is about 5 years old, the sailfin is only a few months short of that, the blue was about 4 years old when i got him and i have had him for 2 years, the scopas is close to 2 years old.

That's a really nice looking tank da_colts. How long did it take to look like this? I eventually would like to also keep corals with my tank. I have quite a way to go yet.

Again, congrats on a beautiful looking tank......stunning!

ps: I am so new to this I haven't even put water in my tank yet as I am going away for a week and want to start this when I get back. I'm gonna go slow and I'm gonna let it grow.

If your going away, IMHO it is the best time to start a tank. you won't be there to mess with it and it will do its thing.
