Very normal for them to get that big. We saw several at an aquarium last weekend, along with some very large pajama cardinals.

+1 on the chromis. Least aggressive of the damsels I believe. Dont keep more than one in that size tank though.

Hard but not impossible.I don't know where Dr Foster got 3 inches from. I have two in my tank over 4 inches. It makes sense to me that if you have a limited ammount of space that your choices of fish will be limited as well.;)

Wow! I've only had one Chromis and it was in a 29g, but it didn't grow over 2-1/4" so I thought LA's max size of 3 was being generous. Mine must've been the runt. lol. If they can reach 4+ then definitely that's too big for a 29g tank.

I was looking on DD at I liked the cardinals(red spot) and read they are open water, but hard(ish) to keep. I plan on upgrading the flow and possibly having no or 1 clownfish. I read about them on RC and noticed a guy had 5 in his 29 gallon bio cube possibly with other fish and they were doing really well.

That doesnt mean everybodys 29 will do well with 5 fish. I think you should go with 1 clownfish, an RG, and a some type of goby/blenny.
