I have some sponge taking over a cool Zoo patch (snake Zoo) and on this patch of spnge are some Ophiothrix suensonii, the Sponge Brittle Star which live on sponges. If I were to scrub the sponge off with a toothbrush would the starfish survive without the sponge? I googled it and cant find any good info on the starfish other than they eat the same as other brilltestars they just live in sponges....
    Thnx for your time....
