I don't like glass never will get one again.I had a 90 crack in my livingroom big mess.I lost all my fish and corals..I like acrylic better. http://www.tenecor.com/cylinder.php this site is good for acrylic if you decide to go that way..

I never had a problem with all glass tanks. I have one now. Have had several before.

I used to have a 75 gallon reef ready that I left in a greenhouse when I was broke. Eventually the tank expanded in the hot room from the sun and the trim cracked. (My fault - never thought of that - kinda the bottle expanding in the desert scenario.)

They were cool and sent me new trim free of charge.

If you are not the most gracfull then i would go with glas.....if you have kids youll need glass in the long run unless it is out of reach. Plexy is less prone to leak or failure but compare an 8 year old glass with an 8 year old plexi.....then there isnt much comparison usually.

I have an ALA now..love it!!!...the plexi scratches way to easy for me...especially when cleaning up a reef tank.....like any other glass object though, it can break...don't throw stones in a glass house, or aquarium!!!

I have a 75g All Glass tank and I haven't had a problem with it, They seem to be a very well constructed tank. I have never owned an acrylic tank so I can't honestly comment on them except that I have not seen a LFS set up with Acrylic tanks :-/........................... John

Plywood and glass for me with the exception of my sump which is all acrylic. Couldn't afford a tank so I built a plywood one with a glass front. Acrylic scratches very easily. All of my FW tanks are glass and I've never had a problem. I do a lot more scraping and moving around in the reef tank so I'm glad I used glass.
