Ok,heres the deal,i know my problem is water quality(mostly high phosphates)I am working on getting a ro/di unit to improve this.I also know this is not a long term fix,it's just a band aid. What i am wanting to do in the meantime is get the tank cleaned up some before i get my ro unit, but concerned about putting an algeacide in my tank.It says it's totally reef safe(fish, coral, inverts, etc.)and i have read alot of user reviews from several different sites who has had very good results.I've tried all the basic tricks to no avail(gfo, carbon, many wc's,light cycle set on 7 hours, nothing is working.I buy water out of the machine at walmart(where i believe is the sorce of the problem,i also probably brought some algea in on my live rock.So i'm only looking to use this to clean it up,knowing it's not a long term solution. But i was wondering if any of you have used it and what you thought of this product??

Nope. If they lose fish its because of bad water quality. Remember its a temporary fix. Work on getting your parameters right. Once you fix those you'll be aight. Of course you know this.

A couple of people I know used it with good results. When I tried it, my acans and duncans were not so happy. Didn't kill the algae, either.

I have used it a couple of times with great results. Make sure you follow the directions.
It doesnt kill certain types of alge though. If it does kill your outbreak then make sure you have phos remover and are using rodi or the problem will just keep coming back.

also IMHO I would skim wet for a few weeks.
