Can a flame angel live and do well in a 55 gallon reef tank
    Is that too small
Will they pick on the corals

If not what are some other ideas for a "large" bright fish? :)

    Thanks

Depends on how many fish are added IMO but 55 is ok by me.

I think a flame angel should be fine in a 55.

Flame Angelfish is prone to nip at stony and soft corals (sessile invertebrates) and clam mantles. If the Flame Angelfish is to be added to a peaceful community, it should be the last fish introduced. double quote

Do yourself a favor and pick a more hardy/understood species to start off.;)
