Just modded a buddy's skimmer with a 2000 and it is kicking butt. Definitely better than those psks IMO.

I've been running one on my skimmer for a few months now and it has kicked butt so far. What do you want to know?

Wow those 10000's are beasts ;)

well I was just looking for compliments or complaints on the pump from users. But if anyone has some real scfm numbers I would love to hear them since I have found so many different reports on the BB3000 from various threads (anywhere from 30 all the way up to 81 scfm lol)...

What did you use to mod? I was planning on just figuring the needed parts out when they got here but if you can recall what all you used then I can pick them up today or tomorrow to save some time :)

Yeah, well it was on a SWC Xtreme 160, so we ended up using:
    1 - 3/4" threaded to threaded flange
1 - 3/4" threaded to bard straight piece
    1 - 3/4" threaded to barbs 90's
    1 - 3/4" flex hose
1 - 3/4" threaded female to slip female
1 - Shaved down 3/4" pipe, because on the SWC you have to get it up into the 25mm elbow for it to seat properly, so we used a hand file to bring the 3/4 down to 25mm.

We only used part of the flange. We used the part that seats against the "O" ring on the existing BB flange. It was really just a way to convert the BB output to US Schedule 40.

    Hope this helps!

I have been told by someone who should know that Blaster's, Red Dragon's and Askoll's all have the same inside motor/casing and are built by the same company in China.
From the skimmers i have seen with Bubble Blasters you should be very happy once you have it hooked up.

I don't have any numbers, other than from other threads. I'd think the air intake will depend on how far under water it is, what kind of skimmer it's hooked up to etc... So, could certainly vary I think.

I can tell you it produces a ton of bubbles, starts and stops, produces a ton of skimmate and otherwise I don't really think about it. I've heard of a few instances of broken drive shafts, at least on older units, but they've apparently been pretty good about replacement.
