bump - for anyone else on site who might know this make/ model of skimmer

I dont know anything about them myself willlovesfish
but with a 22 gallon tank, I would be hesitant about putting a skimmer on thats an in tank model, as it occupies space in the tank, where space is already limited
so I would select an HOB model if given the choice

It looks like the TMC V2 nano skimmer which i have used. Personally, its was a big pile of poo. If you want a small skimmer that does a quality job, i would recommend the Tunze nano. Just MO tho.

Ya I have seen the Tunze Nano, you think it's enough to handle my tank size? I do 10% water changes every week.

One of my buddy's bought this skimmer for his 30 gallon fish only with live rock, and he said it was worthless. I would aim toward the tunze nano that everyone else is recommending.

I agree, the in sump design doesn't look like it would work out too well. I've also heard good things about the Tunze skimmer. Here is another option if you were looking to stay in this price range:

I tested one for awhile on my 60 total gallon system. It installs HOB or in sump, and has a fairly small HOB footprint in the tank. It doesn't foam up as well as some of the bigger much more expensive skimmers I've run, but for the price and size, it did pretty well on my tank.

    aqua c regular or pro,
It is very very hard to over skim, but under skimming is easy. Even if a skimmer can handle your load if its close and your pump performance or anything slows down you are out of luck

All good points. On that note I'll also point out the Coralife 65. I ran the 125, and IMO it did a very good job.

So with this skimmer do I have to use the powerhead it comes with? I have my own Koralia 2 in there right now.

Otherwise it sounds like the Tunze is the way to go.
