The ATI 250 has two pumps, so the total wattage is less than 80 watts (Tunze is 69 watts).

they are using the stock sicce pump stats, pulling 50scfh they run at ~24watts each.

more air input=less electrical consumption. they are the same identical motor (ati v tunze), but the ATI uses slightly less electricity due to the increase air from the meshwheel....

i believe you have all the information you need online. i'd suggest further researching the models you are interested in. good luck with your decision.

Do you have a picture of a mesh impeller (the impeller used on the ATI skimmer)?

here is an image of a misc. meshwheel. they all look very similar, a flat disc with holes drilled. the holes allow the mesh to be attached and for water to reach the magnet of the impeller for cooling.

the mesh used is enkamat PF4 (it can be purchased from many online aquarium shops) fishing line or mini zip ties are used to attach the mesh.

this mod can be done to various pumps to increase the air input, however be sure to research it and use a killawatt. if the mesh rubs on the volute it will increase the electrical draw and melt down the pump, possibly causing a fire.
