This has to do with costumer service ext, not fixing the skimmer so please dont move this thread. Anyways, I bought my Octopus BH-100 Skimmer on 8/17/2009 (did a lot of digging through my mail, found the receipt) and it has some major problems and im in a complete dilemma. It for sure needs to be replaced, and to help this situation, theres not one troubleshooting guide provided by the manufacturer or the online store i ordered it from. So anyways, i purchased it from SaltySupply.com. As i had questions about my order ext i tried emailing, calling, everything it says to do on their web site. And theres 2 phone lines listed and not one of them pick up. At any time of the day. Then, the actual manufacturer, you think i would just go there now. Nope. They are located in Australia, so calling is out of the question due to the time zone difference, and when i had a question about the skimmer when i first got it they never ever responded to my email. To this day. So i dont know what to do 3reef, please guide me. Heres the return policy for the store i bought from, i was going to try to argue it but of coarse they dont respond and i was going to go to the manufacturer and see what i can negotiate, but of coarse they dont respond either.:angry::angry::angry:

The pump turns on and off as it pleases, doesnt always deliver full GPH at all which affects every aspect of the skimmer. Somethings wrong with the bubble mechanism, its not really producing correct bubbles leading up to the collection cup. Their more huge, watery bubbles, that are impossible to get up to the actual collection cup that just stop at the base of the collection cup

Well then he should act like its a one man operation. His voicemail, no automated system, is "All of our customer service is busy assisting other customers, leave a message after the tone" And its his voice and he was like mumbling when he recorded it, it took me a while to figure out what it said. I tried emailing him in the past and present and no response. I sent it to that address

And to add to that the collection cup is at the very very lowest point it could be at and not a single bubble went up the tube. Their not really bubbles, its more like the big bubbles when you have a tub of water, put a cup in the water face down and then flip it over right side up and those big bubbles come up (if you got that ;))

i recommend calling the 866-860-1572 number. this is his new one. prompts are annoying... I understand especially for one man crew.

call during business hours. leave voicemail. and re email.

If your looking for a refund or exchange i doubt he will do it 3 months laters.
he may be able to email mfg to assist you but he's sorta outta the picture at this moment.
