so i have a 29 gal main tank, and am looking to get a new fish ( i have two black clowns and red lip blenny) i really like the body shape of angles. As of right now i am torn between flame angle, coral beauty, or mimic tang...something in that body shape. any opinons one way or another?

I think if you take it at a 180 angle as opposed to a 90 angle - things would look alot more perpendicular!

PHEONIX YOU STOLE MY RESPONSE!!! Well let's see...what angle are you trying to solve for? Is it a right triangle? In that case, we will need to use either Sine, Cosine, or Tangent to solve it. It could be a SSS, SSA, or SAS type of problem. Remember class, SohCahToa.

Anyways, what corals do you have, if any? The Coral Beauty will be the least nippy on corals, but each fish has it's own personality. It all comes around to which one you like best. I'd vote coral beauty. They're close to the most docile of the bunch, and REALLY pretty. :D

I'll second that. I have a coral beauty in my 30g and think it looks great.

On a couple of occasions i've seen it nip at corals, but this is quite rare so I think I got lucky.

Really is quite a spectacular looking fish and I'm very pleased that I got it.

I would go with a coral beauty as well, least risky when it comes to corals, but be aware that it could still nip and pick at your corals. The flame is also a good choice, I believe a little more aggressive, but I think one of the most beautiful fish. Both are hardy choices too.

I wouldn't get a mimic tang, it will out grow your tank before to long. I have had both in the past and my favorite has always been the flame angel because if the bright color but IMO the Coral beauties are much less aggressive.

Coral beauty or Flame angel would be my choice. Both are questionable around reefs, but it is worth a shot. More often than not you will get a good one. Just watch it though. The dwarf angels can be good for months or even years and then turn on you and develope a taste for corals.
