Tank raised black Aussies don't seem to care about an anemone... so I put it in with the breeding Occ's.

    bank to the stand...

I painted the inside water resistant blank with ouside deck paint and layed 1/4 ply on it so I could get the bend for the bowfront.

I noticed my 30# tank wasn't going to fit with the wood I had to use to reinforce the doors to have them hold the bow as well, so I cut out a pocket for the co2 tank to sit in.

I like red wood and I was under the impression it was called cherry oak or red oak or red mahogany... no they were all really brown with really not much red at all. I grabbed a red mahogany floor joint from the flooring isle and I brought it to the guy and said "look, this says mehogany and it's exactly what I am looking for.". We walked over grabbed a couple cans and tested different amount of coats on my wood sample.
The conclusion was actually Sedona Red from minwax...
    Ooooo I loved this color!

    I forgot to mention...

By using the 2x6's it gave me enough room to put a shelf in the back of the tank to hide my closed loop pumps. It also gave me the added room I needed under the tank to fit the 55g (which has the same dimensions as the 72 w/o the bow) for a sump. ALSO, it gave me a nice clean support for the hood instead of laying it directly on the tank.

SSo I was completly satisfied with how the stand came out so far.

    New frags!!!!

So while I was waiting for my sugar sand to arrive I was looking back at the "Tank of the month" awards. I have always liked Emmett Hoods SPS display and emailed him to see if he pruned or did any house keeping to his corals...
To my surprise he did, he sold them and he was an hour and a half drive from me!! I made plans to visit him this past weekend and these are what I bought:
The first pics are 3 of his Red yellow tipped Milles.
The next is his ATL strawberry patch Montipora Cap. (my favorite)
The last is his Blueberry mille which is a REALLY pretty piece already!

lol... thank you Jeff! I really wanted it to be secure. I hate when I move peoples stands and they shift. I moved a guys 220 shark tank and as we pushed it, it totally buckled and I swore it was going to break but it didn't... I didn't want my tank on something so flimsy. I see peoples tanks all the time on commercially made stands made of particle board and IMO that totally scares me!

    Thank you for your comment!

Sorry for the crappy pictures of the Red yellow tipped... I am borrowing a cannon soon to get quality before and after shots...

One of the red milles is to the left of the blueberry mille in the last pic.

These are more of the frags from Emster aka Emmett Hood...

The Purple rimmed green Monti Cap.
    The reverse sunset Monti.
The Purple encrusting monti was purple, pink, blue and red but I can't remember it's name... I'll check his page again.

Again sorry for the crappy pic... I'm putting better ones up soon.
