There aren't very many aquaculture places that do such a good job of marketing themselves, as well as having good reliable products in quantities large enough to be dispersed to a large customer-base. Not all of them are the most eye-popping-mortgage-the-house-to-have-them but they are all at least reasonably nice and are pretty hardy and are known to do well in a wide variety of tank systems.

If there are others I'm not aware of them, and they probably need to market themselves better. :)

Same here. They do have some nice corals but I wouldn't run over anybody (or pay those prices) to get to any of them.

I have a lot of name brand corals .. That doesn't mean that they're better. My cheap pink mill had much nicer and brighter color than my expensive ORA red planet. I think the thing with corals that have a traceable lineage is that you know what you're getting. Especially if you're ordering through the mail. Also it's nice to have corals that the frags are worth more for resale. Some things like my ORA green birdnest blow away the regular birdnest. Same for Oregon torts. If you saw them side by side it certainly wouldn't matter if it was ORA or not you would opt for the better looking coral right? I've bought corals from local people that were labeled "superman" and "kryptonite" .. I get there and it's not what I thought it was(not the true superman or kryptonite). So I think the name brand thing is just a little assurance in what you're getting but I certainly agree that doesn't mean it's prettier or deserves a big price tag. Also if it had lost color or in bad shape you know what it is capable of looking like.

Here is my ORA Oregon Tort that died. It had amazing blue color but not as vibrant as my cheaper blue Cali tort.
