I gave up chasing numbers. My tank seems happier when I just stop messing with things.

RP has got to be the hardiest Acro I have tried yet. I have one growing in a 14 gal biocube with stock lights and flow. It is mounted about 2" below the surface. It hazs a nice rosy color with green highlights. Last summer, when I had a copper issue and EVERYTHING else in my tank crashed or bleached out it just stopped and got pale. I ignored the tank for a while and alk and Ca plummeted. Temps during the summer averaged 83-85. It just sat there. I started getting the tank back into shape, got my numbers back up, and within days I had PE and a couple weeks later noticed some nice new corallites. Then, my thermostat malfunctioned and the tank shot up to 95 degrees for two days. A birdsnest RTNd and a leather melted away. The RP RTNd the tissue on the lower surfaces of the branches but otherwise came right back out with fantastic PE and growth. That thing has survived almost every stressor I gave it, copper, pathetically low alk, and 95 degree spikes. Definitely hardy.
