    Thanks John,

Camera working today so decided to take a pic. It would be most excellent if my Tortousa grew even half as fast, slugs.:-/

That's really good growth for only 20 days (for the bubble algae, too :p)

It looks like the picture is with a flash, does the RP look a little deeper in color irl?

Yeah I am one of those weird people that actually thinks some bubble algae is pretty and I am lazy. I like some turf algaes too, seeing as I can not grow any cool red macro algae.

Yes it's a flash and it is darker. I still think I might move it down some, it's growing really close to the light, like about 5-6 inches away. Everyone always says move it down when the green fades. All the RP frags at the bottom are still very green, so it has to be the lighting.

Very cool. Nice growth shots and love the before and after. My red planet is now getting used to my tank/lights and started to turn really red, with what looks like a green cape on the edges of the little shelves that polyps extend from... don't know the name for that part :p

Hey Magnus I would really like to see images of your RP.

First week in June it will be 1 year. I am my own worst critic when it comes to reefing. I am always second guessing placement, lighting schedule, dosing.......Its my opinion that had I not messed with the the tank so much in the last couple months things would have grown faster. It's always a live and learn thing with me. But over all I am happy that my efforts. " Go slow, let is grow", if you have the opportunity to buy small frags, I encourage you to do so, it has been very rewarding for me.

I really hope I can get that kind of growth out my coral, or even half that would be nice.

woww! it is so amazing how fast they can take off given a well taken care of tank :)

just wait, the larger it gets, the faster it grows!!! soon you will be fragging it just to let other corals have enough room to grow hahaha

Thanks grinder, I look back and go wow, they actually do grow if give it some time. My sps have always been slow growers in the past.

I leaned a lot from others mistakes regarding growth. Dingo once posted, " if you just leave it alone Cheryl, it will grow faster". So I made a real effort to stop moving them and to try to place them in one spot permanently. That is a really hard thing to do for me.
