Yep, you did, thanks. I had a buddy over, and we were discussing whether it was death, or fast growth. To be on the safe side, and since the coral was still recovering, I nipped it off. Then I remembered your pictures. Now I'm sure it was good growth. New polyps have already formed in the clipped area. Thanks! ;)

Been a over a month since the last one, so what the hay or hey....:)

Thought I would take a few before I move the mother RP colony off the rock it's encrusted to, to the egg crate.

Also included is the strange acropora I got last year at this time. I now know why some acropora are referred to as weeds. Not that pretty and grows like a weed.

First two are one 1 months growth, and a year ago.

Hey, I meant to ask, have you ever tested PAR around the RP? Still looking good...

Hey no, why do you ask?

I have not had access or even thought about a PAR meter in a long time.

Does the growth or branching looking like I need to check it?

No looks good, I was just trying to figure out what PAR range these like. I've read that at lower PAR, they tend to keep color better, especially the green base. However, I also know tables sometimes tend to grow up at lower light intensity and table at higher (or more optimal) light intensity. So, I was curious, roughly speaking, what the optimal PAR for tabling and growth was with these. You seem to get good color and growth and is tabling nicely. So, just trying to pick your brain a bit :) Mine has good color, but has been one of my slowest growing corals. I tested the PAR though, and it's in a darker area of the tank, only around 170ish.

    Hmmm

Considering the bulb is like 5 inches off the water it is probably very intense with the first 4 or 5 months with a new bulb.

Honestly I think I get the color for the RP because I have some nitrates and feed. The frags placed to the side in less direct lighting are more colorful and are much greener.

Knowing you the lighting for an RP is probably way more than sufficient and you run a ULNS right?
