LOL :) Or you can come to AZ.

John you are the one that got me started on the topic of what PE really means.

Over the years I have read it means a coral is struggling to obtain enough O2, this is why you see such exaggerated PE at night. Wrong

A hungry Acropora will display exaggerated PE, well maybe.

No rules applied exclusively. I think people read too much into it now.

    I think it's absolutely lovely though. ;)

A stressed coral will pull the polyps completely in when being nipped by fish, sudden change in parameter, or physically handled and exposed to air.

    Hey you. :)

I did notice yours on your thread. That is a decent size pieces as well, nice.

Went back to Phoenix and I am glad I did. Tried a Ushio, hated it. Radium is my next favorite.

Lol I went through the same deal. I had a ushio for about a month and couldn't stand it. I'm a little hesitant to branch out now but maybe I'll try radium next haha.

I like the Radium as a change of pace. Nice crisp white/pink. The bulb life seems shorter though.

    Thanks Chris.

Hopefully I can keep it up.

The rest of the coral is not growing though but for 3 spots, those being the 2 fastest growing spots.

Let me know when you find the secret to that. It'll be the Pro Tip of the Day. ;)

Weird thing happened with the parameters. I added more sand which created a white out for 24+ hours. When I went to test the next day the levels were almost exactly the same as prior to the white out with no dosing. So the corals did not utilize the calcium and the buffer when the lighting was severely compromised.

    Current Ca 400/ alk 10/ mag 1400.

    Going off topic.
