Orange Circle Algae ???

    I have these orange circles of what I think is algae growing on my over flow and slowing spreading to some rocks for the past few months.

    Does anyone know what it is ?

    Are u using LEDs or t5's? Try looking at it with an incandescent flashlight. Could be a red macro algae.

    Looks like a plating type of coralline. Is it hard or soft?

    Never heard of plating coral, it seems stiff and actually has lifted away from the surface its attached too in some cases.
